Description

Invented in Milan in the 19th century and very fashionable in the 1950s, the band Milanese watch has been modernized. The result: trendy watches with a timeless look that will go with any style! Wear with your freshly laundered suit for a vintage feel. If you drop the jacket at the first ray of sunshine on the terrace, the band Milanese will be just as comfortable with a light shirt, for a chic and casual style. The tiny links of the band will let your wrist breathe and will make your Apple Watch a particularly pleasant accessory to wear on summer evenings, a glass of rosé in the hand and the song of the cicadas in the background.

Its stainless steel construction guarantees a long life. The metal gives it a robustness and a resistance to the aggressions of the everyday life as the splashes related to the washing of the hands or the rain. The suppleness of the mesh also makes it very comfortable to wear, thus ensuring a real comfort of use while keeping the fineness of the braiding and the brightness of the metal.

The magnetic closure is strong enough for a good hold on the wrist throughout the day. The only drawback is that it is not suitable for sports, you will have to switch to a sports model.

Manufacturing

The mesh is more flexible than in the 50's to avoid pulling the hairs. The production of the mesh is largely manual:
Long corked steel wires (in the form of springs) are woven, in the manner of a carpet to obtain a kind of chain mail. This is then sawn, welded and assembled by hand.

Like everyone else legitimately keen to make a few savings compared to the prices charged by the Apple brand, I tried my hand at various bands Milanese from a few so-called "low-cost" sites delivering in around ten days. While it's true that I was satisfied with the price, the quality left so much to be desired (aesthetics not in line with the photos, and even less so with the original bands , snagging meshes, ridiculously weak magnets, corrosion appearing on supposedly "stainless" materials, discomfort on the wrist, black marks on the skin at the end of the day, "soft" materials quickly becoming covered in scratches, etc.), to name but a few...) that, in the end, I only used these bands for a very short time, thus reducing their quality/price ratio to almost nothing (not to say "junk I'd have been better off not buying"...). And then I FINALLY found this one; comfortable; extremely well finished; aesthetically comparable to the original (I defy anyone to find out that it's not an Apple original); with a magnet that REALLY holds; doesn't stick to clothes; qualitatively irreproachable and obviously designed - itself - to do more than look good on a presentation photo in an attempt to sell you cheap... To cut a long story short, rather than foolishly spending money on two or three bands sent from the other side of the world, and which will certainly not satisfy you if you have the minimum requirements (and I do, mea-culpa...), save yourself unnecessary disappointment (and expense...) by opting straight for this one; the Milanese being a must-have in your collection (both for its comfort and its look, which is far more chic than a silicone band when you dress up a bit), I can - from experience - only recommend this one at 4000%; my word.

Q & A

Hello there. I own the AW série 10 in titanium natural finish, which gives a shiny silver dial. I would like to buy the band Milanese, which shade would be closer to my watch: natural or silver? Thank you for your answer. A. Z. Alain Zerbato requested on November 8, 2024

Hello Alain, in the case of your Apple Watch Series 10 in natural titanium I advise you to choose the silver milanais, it is in shiny stainless steel, which will suit your Apple Watch perfectly :)

Hello, this model fitsApple Watch SE 2 2022. Regarding the color of your watch with that of the band, they are two different shades. However, the result may be nice! It depends on your taste :)
